OMG Media are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

This policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us.  Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.

The rules on processing of personal data are set out in the General Data Protection Regulation (the “GDPR”).

Categories of data: Personal data and special categories of personal data

Personal data – The GDPR applies to ‘personal data’ meaning any information relating to an identifiable person who can be directly or indirectly identified in particular by reference to an identifier (as explained in Article 6 of GDPR). For example name, passport number, home address or private email address. Online identifiers include IP addresses and cookies.

Special categories personal data – The GDPR refers to sensitive personal data as ‘special categories of personal data’ (as explained in Article 9 of GDPR). The special categories specifically include genetic data, and biometric data where processed to uniquely identify an individual. Other examples include racial and ethnic origin, sexual orientation, health data, trade union membership, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs.

Information We Collect

Analytics

We use Google analytics to collect general data pertaining to each Site visitor, which includes the web page you started on, the length of time spent and all the pages accessed while visiting this Site. This information is collected to, among other things, aggregate information from online and offline sources, facilitate system administration, improve the content of the Site, customize and improve the user experience for Site visitors and customers, and improve customer service generally.

Forms

We also collect personally identifiable information provided by companies and Site visitors that fill in forms on the site or we may ask for birth certificates and photos as part of processing licenses for actors.   We keep your personal data for no longer than reasonably necessary.  If this relates to a service we have provided to you or if you are a supplier to OMG Media, we retain this for a for a period of 6 years. If the data relates to special category personal data, excluding contracts and release forms, we will retain this information only for the duration required to undertake that part of the service (ie processing an actors license).  For contracts and release forms, these are retained for up to 10 years.

Orders & Commissions

We use Sage to process e-invoicing and Sage Pay secure payments processing to process payments.  Whilst we collect information to complete the order or commission, we do not retain any transactional data.

How we use our data

Website

We use the information that is collected from Site visitors and clients to improve the content of this Site. We may also use the information collected to notify Site visitors of changes to this Site, to notify Site visitors of new services, and for any other legitimate and lawful business purpose.

Orders & Commissions

All information related to orders and commissions is used solely to process the order and for no other purpose.

 

What are Cookies?

When you enter our site, our server may attach a small text file to your hard drive – a cookie. Your unique cookie tells us that it is you whenever you re-enter our site, so we can recall where you have previously been on our site. Cookies help us deliver a better web site experience to you.

Types of cookies that we use: We use Google analytics to track and monitor our web traffic and other third party cookies such as Facebook comments, opengraph, Youtube and Vimeo cookies. These are necessary for the overall rich media experience delivered through the website.

 

Terms & Conditions

Deposits, Payments & Cancellations

Our payment terms are strictly 30 days from date of invoice to clear the full amount unless otherwise agreed from the date that the client accepts the terms.  If you wish to cancel a project once it has commenced, the deposit cannot be refunded.  If you have paid in full, 50% of the amount will be retained as a cancellation fee.  The remaining 50% will be refunded using the original method of payment within 7 -10 days.
