As an in-borough service provider, Waltham Forest Council asked us to produce a unique film to publicise the launch of the new public health strategy.  Rather than a boring piece of council communication, we pitched the idea of a rich tapestry of the best the borough has to offer: its businesses, its community groups, its artists and musicians. Its people, young and old.  And how a happy healthy life, delivers the councils health and wellbeing outcomes.

The narrative for the video was drawn from selected soundbites from various interviews and vox pops borough wide, delivering a vast wealth of personal experiences and testimonies to draw from. To bookend the video, we are adapted a poem that contained descriptive passages about the borough, which are really very beautiful and added a deserved poignancy and a sense of place to the video.

Neil Garrett, Producer/Director commented “I am delighted with the final video. The words, the visuals and the testimonies combined created an atmospheric, heartwarming film about what it means to be a Waltham Forest resident, and how the borough is a place where mind, body and spirit can thrive.”
